ABOUT RACHEL
Rachel Barkalow is a proud Cincinnati, Ohio native, actor, singer, mover, and voracious traveler based out of nowhere in particular.

Rachel has been seen onstage in her hometown at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati and the Covedale Center, in Skagway, AK performing shows, tours, and musical revues, and in NYC at Manhattan Repertory Theatre and the Hudson Guild as part of Winterfest. A few previous stage credits include Cinderella (Aristotle the Crow/Cinderella U/S), The Days of ’98 Show with Soapy Smith (Alice/Belle), Young Frankenstein (Elizabeth Benning), Hamlet (Gertrude), Lily Dale (Corella Davenport), and Big Fish (Jenny Hill). Her favorite theatrical magic results from excited, honest, and artful collaboration.

During her free moments, Rachel enjoys reading embarrassing fantasy novels, knitting sweaters, hiking, practicing amateur photography, singing in the car, winning at Boggle, and sharing time with friends and her infinitely wonderful family.

Since 2018, she has had the greatest fortune of finding a second home working in Skagway, Alaska as both a performer and women’s history tour guide. Her experiences in Alaska made it possible for Rachel to spend November 2019 van-life road tripping across the United States and the months of December into January 2020 backpacking through Thailand. Currently, she can be found back home in Cincinnati as a member of Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati's Professional Acting Apprentice Program.

Rachel is a graduate of the University of Evansville Department of Theatre, holding a BFA in Theatre Performance, summa cum laude. She is currently EMC.
